Interested in all aspects of folklife? We are. Our Journal (FWJ), now published twice-yearly, covers a range of topics.
FWJ contains learned articles aimed at interested readers; it is not a peer-reviewed journal.
It also seeks to raise awareness about relevant organisations.
We are a non-profit organisation and publish in print, and when we have permission, also free online.
Typically, we include
ARTICLES & SONGS • NEWS / DATES from eg Folklife Organisations and Researchers • and occasionally REVIEWS

ARCHIVE: CONTENTS listed below, online articles are in red and are followed by PDF links.
The contents of each FWJ are listed on the cover, and below. FWJ is a print magazine. The cover and some contents are online, subject to permissions and copyrights of contributors. Please be aware that content online is entirely at the discretion of the unpaid contributors, so some articles are print-only. In a few cases, we have permission to reproduce articles online, but not to reproduce some illustration images online.

FOLKLIFE DIARY, in Folklife West magazine, Oct 2012 .
4 A4 pages (mono) ; part of FW Oct 2012 £2 (£3 posted to UK)
A one-off - Diary & News, but no researched articles & songs; between FWJ6 (Apr 2011) and FWJ 7 (Jan 2012), as preparation for including FWJ within Folklife West
|
The Journal was originally produced as an entirely separate publication to Folk West, although we would always have preferred to have 1 publication (but didn't have the technology for a bigger combined magazine).
We have bought a new computer, so from 1/1/2012 the Journal is available as part of FW. It continues to be available separately.
As prepartion for the combined publication, Folk West was renamed Folklife West, with the Journal's news/listings section placed in FW Oct 2012.
